Did you know that 1.8 billion people globally are affected by skin diseases at any given time? How can global awareness initiatives like World Skin Health Day on 8 July offer a platform, tools, resources, and accessibility around the stigma and disease affecting the largest organ of our body, our skin?
Our host, journalist Brian Mastroianni, speaks with Dr Hassan Galadari, an American board-certified dermatologist and a graduate of the Boston University/Tufts University dermatology program who serves on numerous committees in international societies, including the American Academy of Dermatology and the International Society of Dermatology, where he is the treasurer general. He is also a board member of the International League of Dermatological Societies, representing 100,000 dermatologists worldwide.
This World Skin Health Day, Galadari sheds light on how and why skin diseases and stigma impact our lives and how global initiatives can improve outcomes.
